My favorite childhood memories center around "playing" school and library on my back patio with the entire neighborhood population in attendance.  It made sense that my days of make-believe in my childhood became my adult reality as I live my dream daily as a Lutheran educator.  My dream became my reality after graduating from Concordia University in Chicago, IL, in the late seventies with a degree in elementary / special education.

I love reading and try to expose students to a variety of literature genres and authors.  Books provide knowledge which means endless opportunities for those who are willing to turn the pages.  For students to be successful in the future, I feel they need to be problem solvers, know how to work in cooperative groups, and use verbal / written communication effectively.  Students practice these "future" skills through learning activities and experiences provided in the daily curriculum.

For the past 30+ years, I've had the extreme honor of living my dream by preparing children not for just today...or tomorrow...but for eternity!
