Susan Rosselli

Choir Teacher

I have been an educator in a variety of settings including public school, private school, after school tutorial program, teaching for home-bound, Christian school and home school since 1975. For the same number of years, I have worked as a musician. I am presently Director of Music, organist and choir director for St. John’s Lutheran Church and School. I earned a Bachelor’s degree from State University of New York at Fredonia and a Master’s degree from Manhattan School of Music. I obtained New York State teacher certification for music K-12.  I did further post graduate work in music and education at Columbia University. My husband, Rev. Jim Rosselli and my daughter Alyssa and I have lived in LaPorte now for 8 years. My primary goal for all students in the classroom is to encourage a passion for both worshiping and sharing the Lord through music, individually and as a body. I wish to help those with specific musical gifts to discover and develop them, and to use them in solo or small group opportunities. I strive to  share my own passion for music as a  means of worship, prayer, and outreach, and to enable all of the students to have a part in doing those things. It is my hope that their own worship lives will be enriched, and that they will carry with them skills that can give them pleasure throughout their lives.
